Bonodi XML Editor

Bonodi XML Editor is a multilingual XML editor for Microsoft Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP.
You can edit XML documents in different languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Greek, Thai, Hebrew, Arabic, and other languages on any language version of Microsoft Windows.

Scripting adds and enhances features of Bonodi. Scripts are plain text files that contain software programs.

Keyboard shortcut keys can be customized.

Bonodi's search feature facilitates searching XML document(s) by XPath pattern and other search methods available in Bonodi. Bonodi's search feature can be applied to an opened XML document, or all opened XML documents, or all XML files in one or more folders. Numbers of various operations can also be applied to the found nodes. Renaming node's name, inserting new nodes, deleting nodes, changing node's name or value into upper or lower case, replacing texts in node's name or value, applying regular expression substitution to node's name or value, and more powerful operations are available in Bonodi.

Bonodi can validate XML documents with DTD. Bonodi does not have feature of editing contents of document type declaration (DOCTYPE) or DTD, however, Bonodi can open XML documents with document type declaration, and save them to files with original document type declaration.

Bonodi can convert HTML documents to XHTML documents by Bonodi's Web Browser. You can use this feature to do "web page clipping". Bonodi can filter out scripts embedded in original web pages, and save resulting XHTML documents on local disks of your computer, eliminating the risk of running possibly harmful scripts. Note that disabling scripting in the Internet Zone on the Security tab in the Internet Options window on Microsoft Windows computers does not disable scripting of web pages that were saved on local disks of your computer.

Bonodi can convert web pages displayed in Bonodi's Web Browser to XML DOM representation. You can access XML DOM representation by using scripts. By using your scripts, you can fill text boxes in a web page displayed in the Bonodi's Web Browser. Such scripts are not script files referenced by HTML files, which you might be familiar with if you learned how to write HTML. Bonodi's script files for web pages are registered to Bonodi prior to opening web pages, and Bonodi's script files are not linked from web pages.
